The consultants at MARS Recruitment will help you prepare for any interviews that we arrange, but here are some guidelines to help you on your way:

• Prepare…before the interview research the company, look at their website, understand the job you are going for and how your skills relate to this.
• Arrive on time, make sure before hand you know where you are going, whether there is parking, allowing for any traffic problems.
• Report to reception and have the name of the person you need to ask for.
• Always go smart to interviews…suited and booted…
• Make sure you don’t take any food / chewing gum in with you!
• Shake hands and SMILE…a smile goes a long way.
• Listen to the questions they are asking you, and when answering keep it clear and to the point, don’t be embarrassed if you didn’t quite catch the question or didn’t understand it, just ask them to clarify for you before you answer.
• Always have a couple of questions prepared beforehand for you to ask them, however make sure they have not already been answered during the bulk of the interview.
• At the end, shake hands; thank them for their time.
